PT100 temperature sensor (winding installation type)
Product application scope:
The PT100 temperature sensor is mainly used for measuring temperature during the installation of windings in electric motors, generators, and transformers. Sensors are available in multiple models, including 2-wire, 3-wire, and optional 4-wire technology products. In addition to a reasonable control device, the sensor also has overheat protection function and temperature measurement transfer recording function. The ultra small structure of the sensor ensures its extremely fast thermal response efficiency. And it has strong mechanical strength, extremely high pressure resistance, vacuum immersion resistance, and super strong corrosion resistance.
Product Performance Description:
This product complies with the IEC60751 standard and has high sensitivity. Its linear temperature resistance value is superior to other resistive thermal sensors, with high accuracy and long lifespan. Used for temperature detection and control of equipment such as motors and generators. Used in conjunction with temperature control instruments. The temperature sensor is installed in the equipment and connected to the signal input terminal of the supporting instrument. It can display the measured temperature in real time and control the equipment at the set control temperature point.
The performance of PT temperature sensors depends on the temperature variation relationship of platinum metal resistors. All items in PT temperature sensors are clearly defined according to international standards. According to the corresponding provisions of EN60751 standard, sensors exhibit almost linear and standardized characteristics, which will become an important advantage for standard signal evaluation. In addition, compared to the significant characteristics of PT temperature sensors such as long-term stability, interchangeability, and accuracy, this product also stands out among similar products with extremely small space occupancy.
Type:
There are three main graduation marks for platinum resistance sensors, namely PT10, PT100, and PT1000. They refer to the resistance values when the ambient temperature is 0 degrees Celsius. If PT100 is 100 ohms, PT1000 is 1000 ohms.
Main performance:
Natural testing
Place the PT100 sensor in a mixture of ice and water, and use PT100 to pass a current of 1mA. At this time, the resistance increment is 0.02 ohms (approximately 0.05 degrees Celsius) at 1mA.
Installation instructions:
Install the sensor at the location where temperature needs to be detected (usually installed in the winding, pressed and tied together with the coil and dipped in paint), and lead the sensor lead out along the housing. Do not let the sensor lead bear tension. The lead should be connected to the motor junction box, and the shielding wire should be grounded (connected to the motor housing).
When in use, connect a dedicated PT100 temperature measuring instrument. The three wire system has two wires of the same color, usually two red and one white, and any one of the red wires can be a compensation wire.
